Revision on Feasibility studies and carrying out the detailed design studies of Shourijeh dam were done by Toossab consulting engineering co. and the supervision on operations of this dam is the responsibility of this company. Dam type is earth dam with a vertical clay core is being constructed on the seasonal Kashafrud River. The water regulated by this dam will be transferred to the reservoirs of the city through the pumping station and after purification for the drinking purposes of the city of Mashhad. The dam is built on an alluvial foundation with a maximum thickness of about 18 meters. The spillway of the dam is placed in the valley of the right bank and its type is Ogee.

Project objectives:

According to the contract, these consulting engineering are responsible for the resident and comprehensive supervision on executive operations of Shourijeh Dam in the construction and equipment sectors. This supervision takes place in the topics of borrow area and construction materials, alluvial cutoff wall, drilling and grouting operations, earth & rock works, concrete operations, detailed behavioral instruments and hydro mechanical and electrical equipment.
